Shubham Shinde is an Associate at the Centre for Technology and Innovation at Artha Global.

He is interested in studying and contributing to shaping the impact of technology on markets and society. Prior to joining Artha, he conducted research at the National Law University, Bangalore aimed at understanding how organisations leverage Free and Open Source Software (FOSS). He contributed to drafting a report, titled “The Rise of FOSS in India”, which highlighted the benefits and challenges of FOSS adoption while also providing policy recommendations to support FOSS.

He previously led technology policy and quantitative research at Pacta, a Bangalore based law firm and think tank and has served as a Good Governance Fellow with the Government of Punjab. He has also worked with Fidelity Investments as a Software Engineer.

Shubham holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering and a Master’s in Public Policy from the Kautilya School of Public Policy.
