Technology and Innovation
Artha Global and eGovernments Foundation have set up a DPI Academy, a global centre for building capacities and advancing knowledge on Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI).
Technology is now a key tool for governments, but with its relentless pace of evolution, often needs structural support to enable smooth transitions.
Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) can enable governments to provide public services, mobilise tax revenues, and ensure reliable data on development indicators in efficient, rapidly scalable, and resilient ways. However, countries often face capacity limitations, impacting their ability to design, execute, maintain, monitor, and evaluate progress on these projects. This leads to more expensive, less effective and unsustainable DPI implementation.
To bridge this crucial capacity gap in building DPI, Artha Global and eGovernments Foundation have collaborated to set up a DPI Academy. We build capacity and catalyse communities of practice in government and other relevant stakeholders.
From conceptualisation to implementation, we provide the necessary structural support to enable all stakeholders to successfully and sustainably integrate DPI into their larger infrastructure.

In its initial two years, the DPI Academy’s work spans across three pillars:
We envision the Academy as the first in a global network of knowledge and capacity-building hubs committed to transforming the international community into one that can sustain progress towards DPIs.
Relevant learnings curated and generated from its work in India and globally will be used across an international network. Over a 5-year period, this network’s alumni will ideally be trained and well-positioned to champion digital transformation initiatives worldwide, with the network itself acting as a platform for such cooperation.
