The conversation was moderated by Dr. Niranjan Rajadhyaksha, Executive Director, Artha Global. This was an in-person event hosted at the Artha Global office in Khar West, Mumbai.
In Accelerating India’s Development, Karthik analyses India’s governance challenges, especially in delivering essential public services, and highlights how these are limiting India’s development. The book provides actionable, evidence-based strategies, emphasising state-level reforms as critical for India’s advancement.
About Karthik Muralidharan
Karthik is the Tata Chancellor’s Professor of Economics at the University of California San Diego, with research spanning public finance, and development economics. He is also co-founder and scientific director of CEGIS, which was set up to work with state governments across India to improve state capacity, governance, and service delivery.
