Artha Global hosted a conversation with Dr. David Halpern, CBE, Chief Executive of the Behavioural Insights Team on the topic, ‘Behavioural Insights in Policy Making’ on Monday, June 19, 2023, from 6:30-8:00 pm IST. This was an in-person event hosted at the Artha Global office in Khar West, Mumbai.
About the event:
David Halpern set up the Behavioural Insights Team (BIT) in 2010 inside the UK Prime Minister’s Office, as the world’s first government institution that uses behavioural sciences to examine and influence human behaviour, or to ‘nudge’ us into making better decisions. Since 2010, BIT has run over 1,000 projects, including over 800 randomised controlled trials and over 200 projects in APAC alone. Behavioural insights can help design policies or approaches that encourage, support, and enable people to make better choices for themselves and society. David drew on a decade of BIT’s pioneering work in the UK and 75 other countries to provide a roadmap of how behavioural insights can be applied at scale in India.
