The Centre for Emerging Cities at Artha Global, in partnership with the Directorate of Municipal Administration (DMA), Government of Maharashtra, convened a virtual workshop focused on tackling urban air pollution across the state.
The session was facilitated by Sameer Unhale, Joint Commissioner, DMA and Mayura Gadkari and Vivek Vaidyanathan from Artha Global. The session brought together city officials from Thane, Pimpri-Chinchwad, Visakhapatnam, and Vijayawada, who shared on-the-ground innovations and local strategies to improve air quality.
Cities, including Akola, Dhule, Nanded, Nandurbar, Vasai-Virar, Solapur, Chandrapur, Ahilyanagar, and Latur, participated with active engagement and commitment to cleaner air for all. The workshop created a vibrant peer-learning environment, where city leaders exchanged insights, asked thoughtful questions, and explored practical, context-sensitive solutions.
