In this article for GlobalDev, Sridhar Ganapathy, Principal at Artha Global, argues that despite advances in global digital infrastructure, LMICs still face systemic barriers to effective data sharing across technical, legal, organisational, and cultural dimensions. This op-ed draws on recent case studies to examine persistent challenges and highlight emerging strategies rooted in the Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) approach to promote more equitable access to data.
