We are thrilled to announce the appointment of J. Satyanarayana as Distinguished Fellow, Artha Global, and Chairperson, DPI Academy, an initiative setup jointly with EGovernments Foundation.

J. Satyanarahana is also Chief Advisor, C4IR India, World Economic Forum. He was a member of the Indian Administrative Service for 37 years. Held several positions in the IT and related areas, including Secretary, Govt of India, Department of Electronics & IT and Chairman (part-time), Unique Identification Authority of India (Aadhaar).

A pioneer in the design and implementation of e-Government programs and projects in India, he was associated with over 20 major e-Government projects at the State and National levels. These include eSeva, Passport Seva, MCA21, BangaloreOne, APOnline, and eTAAL. He was instrumental in the design of several policies in the ICT sector at the National Level in India, including the policies on cybersecurity and on adoption of cloud technologies (Meghraj).

He has published two books: e-Government, the science of the possible’ (2003), and Managing Transformation: Objectives to Outcomes’ (2012).
